My Kenmore Elite washer recently stopped pumping out all o the water. It begins pumping for about 2 seconds then stops. It also doesn't go into the spin cycle. I can have it remove the water by resetting it to the spin cycle where it will drain again for 2 seconds. I opened up the pump last night and didn't find any obstructions. What could make this happen? Could there be another obstruction somewhere else (maybe between inside the drum before the water enters the pump)? Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi. I suggest you to check the lid switch.Open the control panel and install temporary jumper between red and black wires of the switch. The lid switch Part number: 3955735
If that not the problem check the timer contacts.Unplug the washer. Set the timer to Ultra clean drain pull out he knob. The following contacts should be closed: BKW-GY, WBK-Y, OR-R, OR-T, BU-BUO, WBK-WOR. The timer Part number: 3955734
Post the results. Simon.
