Hi, my Amana part# NTW4600VQ1 washer started making this buzzing sound and stopped washing, i called a technician, he told me the motor was finished. I changed the motor, it worked a few times until it started making the buzzing sound again and stopped washing. I noticed i see the coupler turn once and jamz, a friend of mine told me it's the transmission assembly, so i looked up part # 3360629 (Direct Drive Washer, Transmission Geracase Clutch and Coupler). Any suggestions as to what might be my problem? My friend told me it might be the spring on the shaft and that i overload the washer, the motor turns but seems like the transmission doesn't serve its purpose?

Thanks for all your suggestions!

Sounds like the transmission has gone bad. I would recommend to replace it together with the clutch assembly and the motor drive coupling. It will make the repair much more reliable.

- The transmission Part number: 3360629
Part number: 3360629

- The clutch assembly Part number: 285785
Part number: 285785

- The motor drive coupling Part number: 285753A
Part number: 285753A
