We just moved into a house with this dryer already in it. It looks pretty new. The previous owner said it was in good shape, but two weeks after we moved in, it just quit heating up. It's on the second floor of the home, so I'm not sure if there is lint somewhere in the line between the second floor and the basement (which caused something to burn out)...but the dryer is blowing cool air. We opened the back of the dryer up and discovered that the heating element looked half burnt. So we ordered another and installed it. Still no heat. What fuses should we test? What else could be wrong? Help!

Check to make sure you have 120v coming to each side of the connection block, and then test each of the thermostats/fuses in the back for continuity.
First one to check is the thermal fuse, the white thing on the blower housing.
