I was running laundry and somewhere in the middle of the cycle my Whirlpool LSQ9200PT0 AUTOMATIC WASHER has completely stopped. Unit is about 6 and a half years old. The washer is still full of water and the spin, rinse, or any other cycles do not respond. I am not very mechanical but I will need to try to fix this myself so if your responses could be in very basic layman's terminology that would help a lot.
Thank you,
Carol

Hi.

Most likely it's a bad lid switch. Turn the power off. Remove two screws from the back of the end caps and open the control panel. Locate the lid switch on the left, pull of the plug and install the jumper wire between two outer wires at the harness's plug. Plug in and turn the washer on.
If the washer starts - replace the switch
