I have a sharp r 8560 microwave 1986 vintage it has been a great microwave recently it stopped working
I opened it up and found the thermal fuse on the magnatron was open ( i replaced the fuse )
the microwave turns on and the clock and display all function when the door is closed the turn table and the light go off ** but the microwave continues to run ** ( this was what evidently caused the thermal fuse to blow ? I unpluged the wire from the relay that goes to the magnatron and I can hear the relay click
( so the problenm is the relay is being energized and causing the magnatron to contiune to run ) any sugestions as to what to look for ?
