I need to re-wire the control wire from my thermostat to my central AC unit. Taking a look in the manual, it shows the diagram which wire goes where, but on each of the three main wires it has a box. The boxes are labelled "Cooling system," "Fan relay" and "Heating system." Does that mean the wire should go through those systems before going to the transformer? I attached the wiring diagram for reference. Thermo is a White-Rodgers 1f80-51. splumer attached the following image(s):

does your thermostat have a (c) terminal? If so hook one wire going out to your condensing unit to (c) terminal and the other to the (y) terminal. You should only have 2 wires going outside. Your t stat contacts close r to y in cooling

Are you saying a two-lead wire should go from the C & Y terminals on the thermo to the outside unit? (Don't have a C terminal, but whatever)

Yellow wire should go to - Y Green wire should go to - G Red wire should go to - R White wire should go to - W
Then there should be a jumper wire between RC (cool) & RH (heat)
