Dryer will not start. Door light turns on when door is open/off when closed. Thermal fuse is closed/good. Start relay switch is closed/good. I haven't checked the door switch yet nor the timer switch. The timer does sound like it is running. Which wires on the timer switch should there be continuity and does it matter which setting it is on?

Thanks for the help.

Hi.

First check the door switch.

With the door closed you should have continuity between Blue and White wires at the plug.

Next with the timer set to time dry check for continuity between BK-BU and T-W.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Estate TEDS840PQ0 29"ELECTRIC DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you. Post the results.

I have continuity on the door switch. On the timer I have continuity between BK-BU but not T-W. Does this mean the timer switch needs replaced?

Thanks for your help

I jumped T-W and the dryer started. I'll install a new timer switch. Thanks for your help.
