Has anyone ever heard of this problem?? I have a front load stacked washer and dryer (Frigidaire Gallery series Laundry Center) that has worked pretty flawlessly for 3+ years. Lately I'm seeing water on the deck (the machine is outside in a closet) so upon investigation, I've found that when it fills for washing or rinsing, the 'siphon' doesn't seem to empty into the drum quickly enough, and water starts backing up and spills down/out from the detergent tray and runs down the front of the washer. I thought I was using too much detergent, but it does this with plain water, even after several loads. I've tried spraying the siphon out, but no good. Does it need replacing? It is doing it on all cycles, less when I use just cold or hot water, most when I use warm. And NOTHING has changed in the last 3 years... But now I have to sit with it when doing a load and STOP the water fill when I see it running down the front, let it settle, start it again, and, well, this is a royal pain... Suggestions would be most welcome.

So I figured out why it was VOMITING water. A mouse had gotten in and pushed three acorns into the water siphon thing. When I'd start the washer, the siphon would fill, the acorns would float to the top, and partially plug the exit tubes to the washer drum, and thus the overflow.
Can you believe it? Remove the acorns. All is good....
