Schematic # 318945311 rev.A -no display and circuit breaker trips at breaker box immediately when reset. No input lines shorted to panels/ground. Electronic oven control appears to be first component powered up. Relays on same must power up for unit to come on. Any tips/suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi.

Sorry, need the model number or the picture of the schematic. If you unplug the unit will it still trip the breaker?

Simon.

doesn't trip breaker when unplugged - do read continuity from L1 and L2 to chassis ground - nothing else on circuit - hope this helps and thanks for your reply

i did check this schematic does match my hard copy - unit is all electric -miswrote in original post L1 - L2 not visibly grounded.
my thinking is to disconnect secondary of xformer on eoc and recheck for L1 L2 grounded and primary to secondary of same.

Hi.

I recommend you to go step by step.
First disconnect the L1 from the terminal block and check the breaker, then do the same thing with L2.
Trace the short along the wiring. Most probability - it's in the cook top controls. But I could be wrong.

Post the results.

Simon.

simon - thanks for the reply. it clarified my mis-thinking. disconnected leads at L1 and L2 and checked for ground to chassis. L1 wire to left oven safety circuits shorted to chassis. when i get further in will post.
