I have a GE Range that the oven pilot will not stay lit (lp). It goes out as soon as I release the knob to light it. I have been told "thermocoupler" but cannot find this part separate from the entire thermostat assembly. ??? Help?

Mine model number is rga724pkwh and the model listed for the part is rga724pk1wh. can you confirm this is the same model. Also, does this sound like the right part for my problem? Thank you

Hi.
The only model coming up is RGA724PK1WH. If your range has a pilot operated oven - then it's should be the correct part. Make sure that the sensor bulb of the thermocouple is placed in the pilot flame. You may need to clean the pilot's orifice.
Thank you.
Simon.
