Hello,
We received a "great bargain" from a friend. Microwave seemed to work before installing it all the way. Now it often gives a F2:Q1 Touch FEMA error code. It will sometimes start gong through menus by itself and beeps occasionally without anyone interacting with it. Once it freezes up, I sometimes have to reset power by unplugging unit from AC. Other times, the unit will reset by just not touching it. Any thoughts? Thanks for any help.

Hi Tom, According to the Tech sheet (page 9) F2Q1 error code means "Not reading key pad inputs" and recommended repair procedure is: 1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power. 2. Replace the user interface board (UIB). 3. Replace the door control assembly. 4. Replace all parts and panels before operating. 5. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power It is very uncertain and you can end up replacing "all parts and panels". Unfortunately I do not have any more accurate suggestions. Here are the breakdown diagrams and replacement parts for the Kitchen Aid microwave Model KHHC2090SBL0

Thanks for the quick reply Gene, I appreciate it. Since this posting, the problem has gotten a little worse, but I'll try what your tech sheet recommends and go from there. I'll let you know what happens.
