I've been using a Frigidaire Trash compactor for several years now. It was given to me at a yard sell and I have no records about it. Unfortunately, the model number plate is missing. There is a tech sheet inside, with the number 780487.
Anyhow, a plastic trash bag became intwined with the threads in the screw power assembly. This caused a plastic sprocket to break. It looks like a nut, with gears on it.
The panel has one single knob and says, "Frigidaire Compactor, Auto Reversing". I sure love compactors now; and I would love it if anyone has any ideas about this!

Thanks for the reply. That's not quite the part I'm looking for. I just found a picture of it on another, lesser web site. Hopefully, I can provide the link here and not be frowned on. It was at repairclininc as partid 640649. They say it's not available and they know of no source for it... So I maybe out of luck... http://www.********************...640649&PartID=640649
