:( HELP PLEASE! I'm afraid my 9 in a half year old frig is going to kick the bucket. It's been making a terrible BANGING noise every time it shuts down. Everything is working properly and things are "cool"....all ok there. I'm thinking it's the compressor....hope I'm wrong as it's a big expense. I wondering if "I" can fix it. If not, what will be the cost and is it worth fixing due to age?

Thank you misterfixall for the FAST helpful response! I wish it were better news. Is your "neck of the woods" anywhere in/near Florida? $450.00 to have repair done.....WOW! I might take a run to Sears before this baby quits on me. Will it just stop dead without any further warning?

Thank you once again. I have decided to hold onto this baby till she really starts talkin' to me! I have a smaller second 15 cu frig in house that is twice as old running 24/7/365....I'll toss goods into her if her big sister quits on me. Any brand you like better....repair wise/running wise?
