My maytag neptune front loading washing machine (6 years) will not spin and the water wont drain. When it was empty I did get it to spin, but now that there is water in it will not spin (would not spin with clothes in it either). The door lock light is on and the door is locked and the washer is making noise like it wants to spin. Timer does not count down. No error code is displayed. Tried turning on and off, spin only, rise and spin, quick wash. I can physically spin the barrel.
What to do now? is there a diagnostic mode that i can run to see what is wrong? if so how do i run this and is there a list of codes?
Thank you for your help, M. Terra

Hi M. Terra, Remove the rear access panel and check the drain hoses for any restrictions. Check for 120 VAC to the drain pump while the control calls for spin. If there is proper voltage, replace the drain pump. - The drain pump Part number: 34001320

We had a service tech come out today. He found that the drain pump was clogged with rocks, construction mud, And lint. He cleaned it out and reinstalled it. Not sure how long it will last. Glad to know you have the drain pump at much lower price.
Thank you for your help. M. Terra
