I bought a replacement oven door handle. 2 bolts are supposed to screw into the handle. On my old handle there were screw inserts that the bolts would screw into. The new handle does not have these screw inserts. What do I do?

What does the new door handle have for mounting purpose?

Can be the old screw inserts used for the new door handle?

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for FRG FGF366CSC | AppliancePartsPros.com

The new handle has 2 holes in it. I guess the old screw inserts would work, but don't know how to get them out. I think they are glued in. The bolts will screw into the hole in the plastic, and I think they might hold, but they are not long enough. They don't bite the plastic until they are about 3/8" into the hole. Would it work if I bought longer bolts? What about using sheet metal screws? The original bolt is a #10. Should I buy #10 or #12 screws?

This screws (probably for a new door handle) are shown as #10 on the diagram and it says in the description: size 10-24 x 1.375. Does it make any sense?

- The screw Part number: AP2123511
