I have a Kenmore fridge about 2.5 years old in age, model # 106.58529700. The ice dispencer door flap on the front door panel does not close properly. I do not know how to dismantle the door or even if I need to in order to view the inside of the dispencer. I assume a hinge or a spring of some sort has become broken or loose. When I manually hold the door flap closed with my hand it somehow resets the switch and when I press down to dispence ice, it works with no problem.

Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone had this same issue?

Anyone else had this problem or get it fixed. The fridge is only 3 years old. It is a Kenmore.
