I have a Chambers Gas Built-In Oven that was installed in the late '60's or early '70's, I'm not sure. Model Number PC-1000-A, (I'm reading the model number from the owners guide that was left behind which appears to be correct supported by the photos and parts illustrated break down section in the guide).
It is no longer igniting the gas burner. The pilot flame is lit, but once I turn the knob for the burner to come on, nothing. Normally, I would hear a sound, (I guess gas rushing to the burner), right the before the burner would ignite, but I'm not hearing that sound now.
I would like to know what it could be from these three parts I have listed below and where and how I can purchase them for this model oven?
Item No. 78 Part No. B-6701 Part Name Valve-Ov. Burner
Item No. 81 Part No. C-6603 Part Name Thermostat-Ov. Auto.
Item No. 112 Part No. B-6679 Part Name Pressure Regulator
Thank You in advance,
Regards,
Darryl

Hi Darryl,
Most likely the problem with your oven are the gas safety valve or the thermostat.
Due to the age of the product I can not find any information and I would recommend to call the APP customer service.

Hi Gene,
Thank You for your reply. Looking at the diagram I have doesn't show a gas safety valve! Could that be the "oven burner valve"? Because there are only three parts that I see that would have any type of control over the incoming natural gas which are: (1) oven burner valve, (2) pressure regulator, and (3) thermostat-oven auto. And yes, I'm having a horrible time trying to locate anything for this unit. I can't even find a substitute for any of those parts. But I appreciate your reply.
Again, Thank You,
Regards,
Darryl

I believe the part you called "oven burner valve" and the gas safety valve are the same.

Again, Thanks for your knowledge.
I talked to a guy in Chicago today from a place called Appliance Service Center by the name of Mark that I found while trying to google info on this oven, he said that if I sent him the parts in question, (since this model is so obsolete), they could try and repair it. I may have to go that route.
