I placed my GE profile double self clean oven in the clean mode. After about 30 min an alarm went off flashing F2 code. I found out that F2 was an indication that the oven sensor was bad. It was removed and showed no reading with an ohm meter (sp) My understanding was that it should read 1080 or there bouts if it was working. The oven relay was tested prior to putting it in the oven, it had the required 1080 ohms. I then placed the oven into clean mode again. It locked the door and started the clean cycle this time it lasted about 1.5 hours before alarming F2 again. The sensors run about $100 and I can't keep buying them, only to have them fail. The unit is in a rental and I did not check to see if oven and broiler worked, currently snowed in so I can't just run over and check it out. Some one else suggested it might be my relay display control board but when I put that name in the search engine no part appears. I really cant afford to have some one come out and do a diagnosis but I need it to work to rent the place out, so I can afford the repair. Any other suggestions. The clock and timer are working fine and the door was indeed locked while in cleaning cycle. :o
