My microwave makes a loud noise when heating - most of the time. It sounds like a fuse burning or something. The sound makes you think sparks will be flying, almost like you put metal in but there is no metal or sparks. It seems to work fine, but the noise is very loud and disturbing. Any idea what this might be?

It can be a sign of dying magnetron and possible damage to the microwaves chute. If the chute is damaged then the microwave is not repairable. Check the manufacturer warranty on the magnetron.
