I have a problem with the washing machine in that sometimes the clothes come out damp like they should but other times the come out very wet. There does not seem to be anything in between, either damp, or very wet. All water is always out of tub. do you know what might be the problem?

If the clothes are damp either the washer is not spinning fast enough or more likely there is something obstructing the hoses inside the machine or the pump is a problem.

Thanks, do you think a belt kit is the best option Originally Posted by: sidfink43 If the clothes are damp either the washer is not spinning fast enough or more likely there is something obstructing the hoses inside the machine or the pump is a problem.

If you are certain the pump is okay and there are no obstructions, the likely problem is the thrust bearing. Here is the part kit Part number: AP4009132
and instructions are included. It can be a one person job, but I strongly recommend you have a helper, things will go a lot easier and faster.
