Maytag front load dryer, MED5800TW0, will not tumble. Heating element works, but won't tumble. I took it apart expecting to see a broken belt. It was intact. I replaced the belt anyway thinking it might just be stretched and loose. That did not fix the problem Thermal cutoff going to fix it? Thanks.

When I push the start button, nothing happens. You can feel the heating element is working, because it gets hot in the drum. However, there is no sound or movement at all.

Very likely the problem is a bad motor centrifugal switch. The heating element should not go On if the motor is not running. The correction is to replace the motor.
