My Frigidaire front load washer fills with water but won't agitate. It goes through the complete cycle filling with water and emptying water but never agitates to wash or spin. What is the problem?

The main control unit or the speed control board, which controls the motor are the most likely suspects.
Look inside the lower service panel to find tech notes that will tell you how to do some testing. The speed control board is more likely the suspect when it won't spin, but when it won't agitate it can be either the control unit or the speed control board so you need to do some testing to see if you can determine which one it is.
If you cannot determine which one to replace you will have to replace them on spec. But if you buy from this site you can return the part if it does not fix the problem.

So far we have tried replacing the door lock/latch assembly; the door stricker and the speed control board. The washer still won't agitate or spin....we can hear clicking as if trying to tell the machine to advance to agitate, but nothing happens. What is the main control unit you spoke of in your reply??? Is this the timer behind the main control knob or something different? We are at a loss.....please help!!!

Well sorry that didn't fix things. If you bought the parts from this site you can return them.
Yes, the control unit is the unit attacked to the timer knob. Try changing it out. Good luck, hope that works.

We can hear the timer running and clicking but the washer won't agitate. It fills and empties but no agitating or spinning. What do you suggest now???

Well like you I am just about at a loss. About the only thing left is some type of wiring issue, maybe a break inside the insulation that you cannot see or shorted spot that is not obvious.
The action then is to use a meter to check continuity from connection to connection and to check to make sure the connections are tight.
