I have a Magic Chef model 3468XVA, serial number 14608364MF. I have a gas leak associated with the right front burner (fire dept was here last night). The burner had been having problems lighting and now, when it does light, an audible 'whishing' sound is present. Any idea on what part needs to be replaced? The gas leak is present whether the burner is turned on or not.

Not without actually checking the appliance out.

The burner valve should stop all gas flow to the burner when OFF. If it isn't, than either the valve is not closing properly or the leak is in the gas supply before even the valve... somewhere.

You should really have a *licensed* gas appliance service technician with proper test instruments check it out for you.
