The plastic dial underneath spins, but the timing indicator for different wash cycles doesn't move. The timer knob may be worn. How do I remove the dial and replace the timer? Ho do I reattach the knob? Does it snap or screw in? Thanks in advance for your help

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 8/16/2007(UTC) Posts: 3,273		Methinks on this model, the timer knob unscrews to remove, then the outer (selector) ring lifts off the outer shaft of the timer to expose two 5/16 inch hex drive mounting screws. The wiring harness connector(s) unplug(s) from the timer body. You may have some trouble locating a part for a dryer this old.
