I have an Amana VRCF30U01C model. The blower motor on the unit outside went out. The company I called to replace the motor said they only had a universal type motor on the truck, but it would work fine.
Yesterday here at Oklahoma City it was 100 deg. the temperature in the house would not cool below 78 with the thermostat set at 74. Upon inspecting the unit I have noticed that the fan blades are about an inch below the, what I will call a cowling, which is around the inside of the coils at the top.
When you put your hand on the top where the air comes out there is not as much air being discharged as before. Some air is even being pushed outward through the fins at the top of the unit. Could my problem be that there is not enough air being pulled in through the coils and discharged through the top?
I think he installed the fan blades too far from the cowling to get a good suction to pull the right amount of air through the fins.
Where can I get a diagram showing the position of the blower fan blades in respect to the cowling?

The first thing I would do is check the pressure in the system. If the fan blade was installed improperly it will cause the compressor and the condenser to overheat and finely will damage the compressor. The pressure will show the picture. If the fan blade has been installed improperly then the company who did the job is responsible for it and must fix it free of charge to you.
The model number you posted does not come up.
Gene.
