looking foe viking burner ignitor p/n

Functional parts for Viking ranges, like igniters and spark modules, can be usually substituted by essentially the same part under a different brand, typically for much less. For example, a Viking flat bar igniter may cost $70 or more whereas this universal igniter made by Frigidaire is only about $40:

My only question now is how to connect the crimp ends of my new replacement ignitor for Viking VGIC305-4BSS broiler to the old wires. Just put the old wires in the new crimps and bear down with a pair of pliers? Then shove it all through the hole so the wire connections are outside the oven? How do I insulate these connections? I'm not happy with the pink plastic around these new crimp ends - will the plastic be OK in the heat?
