I own a GE space saver microwave oven, model # JVM1631BB002. I started up my microwave this morning and after a couple of seconds it stopped working. The control panel is working fine, but when you try to re-enter a cooking time and press start nothing happens. I checked the house fuse and reset it and tried the microwave again. The microwave turned on this time after entering a cook time, but shut down a few seconds later. Any advice as to what could be causing the microwave to blow the house fuse continually would be appreciated.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. The repair tech came this morning and said it (may) be the transformer. The 20 amp fuse did not blow when the transformer was pushing 35 amps, but did trip the circuit breaker. He's replacing the transformer (AND the fuse!) tomorrow and will further diagnose. I'll update this post if there's any additional problem(s).
