We bought our washer in 2005 and were pleased how he performed. Till our Maytag Neptun Washer startet fooling us , this started about 1 year ago. From time to time it would not start the washing cycle. There was only the beep beep when you pushed the start button. About 2 weeks ago it got worse, now he is doing this allmost every day. Normally , the power-disconnect for a few minutes fixed the problem, not now it keeps beeping and does nothing. We had a Maytag tec. her about 2 weeks ago and he could not find the problem. Today he ( the washer ) quit again and i can not get him to start. I am also not able to turn him off, the lights are on and switching between programs is also restricted. Who can help???

Hi. This Kind of washer has two main boards. One is located on the top which will be your display board. the second one is located on the botton, that board will control your motor. The one thing I do with this washers is take a look of your boards and if either one of them is bad you should see a burning spot usually black color in some of the connections. just take the board out and take a look front and back. One more thing with this washers is if the main board on the botton is bad you the new board comes as a kit and will be sold with the motor and is about $200.00 dollars.
