This is a panasonic NNH963WF microwave new in Jan. 2007
When you enter the cook time the timer counts off 3 seconds and shuts of back to clock mode the cooking never starts. One funny thing, it did work once or twice after several tries but not again. its like a short or something loose maybe Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thank you!

Most likely the problem is a bad magnetron. Unfortunately there are no any diagrams or technical information available online for Panasonic microwaves.
