I have a stacked Maytag Neptune washer/dryer. The dryer has been giving us some problems and now it won't start. It makes a buzzing sound as long as you hold in the start button. It seems to time out after a few seconds and won't do anything till it resets. I have had someone help hold the button in as the door was open while I spun the drum. It moved rather easily and still only made the buzzing sound. Any ideas? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you.

There could be something hung in the blower wheel but if you can spin the tub easily by hand I doubt it. I would say the motor is bad but check the blower wheel first. Clothes Dryer Repair Guide
