I just replaced the icemaker unit in my Kenmore SxS, with ice/water in the door. It had totally stopped producing ice. The ice and water dispenser was working fine.

Now, the new ice maker is producing ice, but now the ice and water dispensers do not work. The night light is still working.

All I did was unplug one icemaker and plug in the new one, which should have not caused this problem. At first I thought maybe I'd let the freezer get too warm and that was why it quit, but that does not seem to be the problem since it is cranking out ice quickly.

I would appreciate any ideas on what has happened here.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

The first thing I would do is check if the dispenser control panel is not locked out.

Gene.
