The washer is leaving clothes wet after entire cycle. After reading posts on similar issue I changed the clutch and checked the motor coupler (which wasn't broken). Before I got any tools out I watched an entire wash with the lid up and noticed 2 things: 1) the tub wants to spin by getting started with a jerky motion and will spin slowly, if at all. But, I can help it along to full spinning speed if I remove some of the clothing and then I drop those articles back in. This doesn't work so well with denim, towels or sweatshirts. 2) the machine agitates through this entire process. I would like a best guess diagnosis and if these multiple problems are to expensive to fix even if I did them myself? Thanks!

Seems like a bad tranny, you can confirm by turning the tranny coupler clockwise till it engages spin. If you feal any roughnes= bad tranny.
