Jane,

The 5ab "code", and the oven being inoperable is normal.
The control is in the "Sabboth" mode. It may have been accidentally programmed or you may have had a power failure.

In most cases, you can press and hold the "clock" keypad button for 3 to 5 seconds and the display will reset to the time of day mode, and you'll be OK.
