We need to replace the bake heating element (bottom element) in the oven. It seems to be held in by a plate with rivets. How do you remove the and then replace this element?

The Bake element

secured with the two screws. There are no rivets. Just unscrew those screws and pull the element out.

The 'rivets' you are seeing are just the bottom half of the element mounting plate, you likely have to remove your convection fan cover first in order to undo the screws holding the bake element in place.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but one day this may be helpful to those searching through Google.

I'll see myself out...thanks.

Thanks Oddly Helpful!

I just logged in here (Jan 20th 2012) to figure out how to pull that "rivetted" element out of our Frigidaire Wall Oven, since it isn't heating up anymore and probably should be replaced? -- so your intuition to finish the thread has pointed me in the right direction!

Have another lucky day!
