I have a relative new Maytag Washer, Front Loader, Just two years old; Model# MEDE300VW1, S/N# MY4632142. In the spin cycle there is much noise that seems to sound like a bearing. Am told I will need to replace the outer tub as the bearing is pressed in and not a service item. The repair by Maytag service is more than the washer is worth when purchased new from Home Depot. If anyone has directions or a Manual for removing the outer tub or can point me in the direction to such. I could use a little help as it’s been some years since I dissembled one of these and none of this new vintage.

I cannot get you service manual help because Maytag does not allow access any more. Also you should not have this problem with a machine this young.

I would contact Maytag and see what kind of help they can give you. They may give you the part and charge only labor, or they may get you the part and a service manual that will show you how to change it out.
