Hi,
This is an overhead microwave that is installed independently above a range. The lights under the microwave stopped working - everything else is fine (power, interior light, timer, etc). The button for the light "ON/LOW/NIGHT" still beeps but the bulbs never come on. Upon inspecting the two bulbs, one was clearly burnt out. I replaced both bulbs with brand new ones. However, the lights still did not come on. I recycled power by unplugging for a couple minutes. I finally removed the control panel and it seems like there could be some brownish, burnt residue near one of the connectors that could be the wiring for lighting. Is this salvageable? Are there replacement control boards? We really could use the extra light on the stove surface when cooking. Help. Thanks.

Most likely the problem is a bad control board which has to be replaced. You have to call Panasonic for the correct part number and price.

Gene.
