The power button (tab) broke off the control panel. I have ordered a new panel. Is it as simple as unplugging the wires and plugging in the new ones? First I ordered a new console but once we took the old console off we discovered it wasn't just the POWER label that had broken off but also the plastic piece underneath that actually presses on the metal piece to start the washer.

Yes, this should be a plug and play replacement unit.
