Whirlpool microwave, model MH1150XMT-3 has burned two appliance bulbs in less than two days. The bulb socket appears to be deteriorating. Is this a symptom of a bigger problem than a socket that needs to be replaced periodically?

If it's deteriating, it should probabl be replaced. Can't tell what may be causing the problem, unless it was perhaps damaged during installatin or service.
