Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/30/2011(UTC) Posts: 2		MDE6400AYW started having problems. Notice the timer dial was not moving all the time (just some times) when timer set. Started having issues with push/pull knob to start dryer. After reading some blogs, I decided to replace the timer unit (p/n 33002803) and now the dryer won't start. The light comes on when door is open. Any ideas????:(

I found this out by looking at the pins (didn't have the same pins as the new part) where the plug goes into. The part I ordered AP4043083 should of been part number AP4042974. If you're going to switch out your timer, check your serial number for the right part. Serial numbers beginning with 10 should be part number AP4042974. :D
