Dryer overheated badly so I cleaned out many years of lint buildup in the vent between the dryer itself and what looks like the blower that vents the hot air ...looks like a hairdryer. The dryer is still overheating..is my next step to assume the hairdryer thingy isnt working and replace it?

I'm responding to myself. Realized I must be sure the exhaust line is clear from the blower fan to outside as well. Disconnected the hose past the blower and cleared out loads more lint (and some water). Also disconnected the hose where it connects to a metal duct that feeds into the ceiling. The blower is working and flows freely to this point. How can I clean the duct up in the ceiling to the outside of the house most easily?
