Any ideas why, when I turn my upright freezer on, the outside of the box becomes so hot you can't touch it. I recently charged the freezer. Could using too much refrigerant be the cause of it creating so much exterior heat? I never performed a vacuum on it, however it does freeze inside the box. You can turn it off with the temperature control which has a range from 1 to 6. I tried the lowest settings-1-, but that doesn't make a difference. The compressor doesn't seem to stop or cycle. Help! Anyone.

Make sure the coils on the back are clean and clear of any thing that might block the air flow. That's how the heat is taken away from the freezer. More circulation will help such as a fan blowing on the back just to see if that is the problem.
