Hello,

Frigidaire dishwasher is 2 years old and stopped working. The display is blinking and shows "Er", "Washing", "clean" Drying" (all dipaly parameters). When door is closed, the dishwasher starts draining continuously eventhough there is no water.

When I cycle the power the display shows PF, but reverts to blinking display as soon as door is closed and open.

Is the controller bad?

Thank you.

Sounds like the problem is a bad membrane switch. It comes as a part of the console assembly.

- The SS console assembly Part number: AP4298713
Part number: AP4298713

Gene,

Ordered part from AppliancePartsPros on Monday around 12:15 PM. The company's service is excellent. The part was in stock and I ordered standard shipping (2 - 5 days). The company claims 91% of parts are received in 2 business days. The part arrived on Tuesday - overnight for a cost of only $7.25!

I replaced the part last night. It took some time (about an hour) to put the door back on since it is held in place by just two screws.

You are absolutely right - the SS console is what I needed. The dish washer works good now. I had to hit the cancel button 2-3 times to reset the controller, however. Thanks again for your help. Keep up the good work.

Best regards,
Ashok

You are welcome Ashok. I'm glad it's up and running.
