The seal on my Maytag washer door, has a small split in it. Even after cleaning the seal, presoaking the towels, using Borax with my detergent I find that my towels are still musty. Is the split causing the odor?

Just wondering if I need to replace the door seal or use Affresh.

Thanks for your help.

I don't think so. These Neptune models are plagued by mildew. They supposedly fixed the problem with your model, but no one believes they did.

Replacing the seal should help.
