I am having prblems with the microwave. 1st the latches stuck open, dummy me with out unplugging the unit, while taking the latch / switch off to reset I touch the side and blow a fuse???? replaced the fuse. Every thing came on and is working, but not heating items inside the mic.. The board functions all work? I replaced ALL (3) Switches (#AP3890699), Thermostat(#AP3038826) and the Capacitor(AP303617). All parts in the interior and ventilation area. Still no luck. Any one have any more info. Thanks

Remove the wires from the high voltage transformer primary windings and check for 120 VAC between these wires while the control calls for heat and the door is closed. Be careful not to electrocute yourself.

If there is 120 VAC then the problem most likely is a bad magnetron.

If there is no 120 VAC then the control board probably is bad.

Here are the break down diagrams and the parts list for the Whirlpool microwave Model MH2155XPB1

If you scroll down through the menu on the left side all the way to the bottom you'll see the diagram: "Magnetron and turntable parts". The magnetron is #14 on this diagram.

In order to access the magnetron you have to remove the microwave from the cabinet and remove the outer case.
