I just finished replacing the motor coupling (would not agitate or spin) on my Kenmore 90 series washer. After running through a full cycle i found that my first problem was solved. However, when the washing machine stops after each spin cycle that it jumps out of place. There is also a high winding noise that starts and stops when the spin cycle is over. I am really at a loss on what could be the problem and was hoping for some assistance!

Sounds very much like a brake problem. Repairing them is not much more than going a little further than a coupling change out.

See the Sticky at the top of this page by Richappy on direct drive brakes.
