After accidently starting the cooking cycle instead of the timer, and the cooking cycle running for 10mins, the microvae is no longer heating. Is there an easy fix...or what should I do? Kids are hungry! lol :) Thanks, SRM

The magnetron ( AP4315380) probably needs to be replaced. If a microwave oven is allowed to operate without something inside to absorb the microwave energy, this energy finds it's way back to the source (the magnetron) and will damage the unit making it so it no longer works. Not an easy or inexpensive fix, but it can be repaired.

You can do it yourself, as long as you take appropriate precautions. I would check your warranty guide in the units use and care manual as you may find the magnetron is covered for 5 years. So you may be able to get it repaired and safe yourself some time and money.
