ok I have a whirlpool stove, the oven and broiler are not lighting.

If you turn the oven on a tiny click...maybe a timer, then nothing...the igniters to not warm up/turn on.

If you turn broiler on, two loud clicks about 5 seconds apart.

Both igniters no glow.light nothing... all stove top items function, clock, timers, burners.

I am going to take a shot and order a gas valve and install myself.

Am I right or wasting my money?

Before you replace the valve, post the stove model number here and we'll take a look.

Your oven has very different design and the problem most likely is a bad oven igniter. Remove the oven floor and the flame spreader, disconnect the igniter wires and check the igniter for continuity.

- The part number for the oven igniter is AP3104565

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool range Model SF304PEEN0
