What is the procedure for replacing the front two igniters?

If the burners need to be removed, should I add the screws (current ones looked stripped out) to order that I just placed?

Thanks Matt

Make sure the power to the range is off (unplug the cord in the back or cut the power at the circuit breaker). I would also turn off the gas at the shut off valve behind the range.

Use this diagram for reference: Model SF315PEGW0

Remove all four grates and burner caps. Remove all four burners by unscrewing the mounting screws (2 screws per burner). Leave the burners laying on top of the range.

Note: Take it easy. You don't want to break any gas lines.

Replace the two igniters, one at a time. Make sure to replace the left with the left and the right with the right - the igniter wires are color coded.

Now, lift the front of the range top. To do that, insert a putty knife or something similar between the top and the sides to release the #10 clips. You should be able to lift the front of the top about 30 degrees.

You know have access to the spark module to unplug the old igniters and connect the new ones. Again, make sure the new ones are connected correctly.

Set the top back down so it locks in. Re-install the burners, caps and grates. Turn the gas and power back on and test the front burners.

Let us know how it goes.
