Hello, I need to replace a glass microwave tray. There is not model number on the unit but the part number is #4450785. The microwave is a built-in with an oven below and I believe it was manufactured around 1995 (age of house and I believe it is the original). Other numbers on the microwave are: #8538 791 54001, XNF 1111148, ULFile#1500725P and KAW38AVM726. The stove below has the part number #448688 on the left hand side when you open the door.
On the front of the microwave it says Whirlpool and below it Accubake System.
I called Whirlpool directly and they could bring up the part number but said the part is obsolete.
Any ideas? Is there a comp?
I cannot pull the microwave out to check if there is a model number on the rear.
If you have any ideas please reply.

Measure the inside of the unit.
Then take this to a parts supply house they may be able to give you a close match. OR Go to a couple stores which handle microwaves and see if you can find a current model that has the same dimensions and a close match. Then use it's Model Number to get a replacement.
Probably going to be difficult because most unit these day use a carousel.
Hopefully someone else has a better solution!!! |
