My GE Profile dishwasher model# PDW8980L OOSS does not drain. I have checked and cleaned evey hose and filter and have the proper 18" loop. Every cycle works except for draining. I can see the motor spinning and hear the water cleaning inside. When the pump cycle starts I can hear a slight hum by the pump. The motor is not spinning at that time. Should it be and how can I be sure which part is defective. Is the Actuator wax assembly involved with the draining cycle? Thanks

DM, Sounds like you have an inoperative, or jammed drain pump, Part number: AP4412545
It is a separate component from the main wash/pump motor assembly. and the wax actuator has no effect on the drain cycle, Good Luck, :) :) :)
